OLD MAN'S PLIGHT

Found unconscious in his cottage at Mairctahi, near Helensville, on Thursday. Mr. Robert William George Hood, aped 80, was taken to the Auckland Hospital, lie was believed to be suffering from concussion, and his condition was reported to be serious. Mr. Hood lives alone, and bis plight was not known until a man who was working on the road noticed that some stores had not been collected.
