"WANTED A THRILL"

LIVERPOOL, Dec. ('.,

Fourteen-year-old Molly Ellinson. of Cobden street, Woolton, near Liverpool, was "walking out with a boy"—Charles Joseph Jinny, aged 19.

Her mother, u widow, found out, and told Molly she wa.s too young for such things.

Last Sunday Barry called for Molly. Mrs. Ellinson saw him and asked him to keep away from Molly in future. Then she talked to Molly and Molly promised not to see Barry again.

Next day Molly was found dead with her head in the gas oven. A message on the hack of a handbill at her side read: —

"Horry. That's all. Wanted a thrill. Love to Tush." "Tush" was her nickname for Barry.

Mrs. Ellinson told the first pari of the story at. the inquest to-day. Harry continued it. Ho told the coroner that he had been out with (lie girl, and that after the. interview •with her mother Molly was crying.

A verdict of "Suicide with insufficient evidence to show state of mind" was recorded.
