MANAWATU RACES
TOUT DE MONDE WINS LAST EVENT TO DARECOURT (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON X., last night. The Manawatu Racing- Club’s summer meeting concluded in line but overeast weather yesterday. lhe course was in good order. The totalisator handled £15,549 10s. compared with £13,979, and' for the three days the total was £56,707, against £49,510 last year. Details of the concluding events are:—
Liverpool Handicap. —- Toute lc Monde (L. J. Ellis), 1; 1 Wwol.ua (Anderson), 2; 5 Hunting Cat, (Leach), 3. Also started: 8 Might, 7 Princess Doreen, 8 Davistoek, 6 Aga Khan, 4 Speed, 9 Eminent.. Won by a head, and halt - a length. Aga Khan and Spebd made the early pace, but hall a mile from home Eminent and Aga Khan led from Werohia, Speed, anti Might, and then Hunting Cat moved up to follow Eminent, Aga Khan and Werohia into the straight, where Tout le Monde went through to win narrowly. Time, 2.7. West bury Handicap.—2 Iliac Ra (Humphries), 1; 4 Boomerang (Wil son), 2; 1 Efua (Atkins), 3. Also started: 3 Bazaine, 5 Gasman, 8 La Crown, 7 Contact, 6 Drumpcel, It) Vdnia Park, 9 Blue Mauritius, 1 1 Cyclopean. Won by a head, and :r length. Bazaine was fourth. 'rime, 1.15.
Wood Handicap.—G Slippery (Atkins), 1; 2 After Money (Wilson), 2; 5 Alby (Marsh), 3. Also started: 3 Passion Fruit, 4 Platlie, 1. (lienvane, 8 Gold Cure, 7 Queen’s Pride. Won by a neck, and a length. Glen vane was fourth. Time, 1.47 2-5. Kuwait Handicap.—4 Land Tax (Tatter,sail), 1; 2 Invoice (Ellis), 2; 3 Symeony (Jones), 3. Also started: 1 Royal Routine, 10 Movie Star, 6 Fulojoy ( 7 Hororata, 5 Full Throttle, 6 Cullus, 9 Wasteland. Won by a head, and a length. Full Throttle was fourth. Time, 1.14.
Christmas Handicap. —2 Darecourt. (Wilson), 1; 3 Coleuso (Pine), 2; 9 Chief Ranger (Leach), 3. Al->> started: 4 Moonbeam, 1 Silver Jest, 6 Confiscation, 5 Mesuri.ua, 10 Whetumu. 8 Snowball, 11 Finnesko, 7 Blue-Tiger. 13 Barley Almond, 12 Terry. Won i > a head, and three-quarters of a Jeng:ii. Almond was fourth. Time, 1.25.
