THIS MORNING’S PLAY MIXED DOUBLES PINAL In the filial match of the Championship Mixed Doubles played on the Gisborne Lawn Tennis Club’s courts t his morning in the concluding stages of the district tournament, A. Shorland and Miss W. BarnsGraliam had a convincing victory, the score being: A. Shorland and Miss W. Barns-Graham d. J. J. Steevens and Mrs. Brown, 6 —o, B—6. In the semi-final of the Handicap Mixed Doubles, Kemp and Miss Bruce (r. 15.4) defeated J. J. Steevens and Mrs. Brown, 9—7. The final was to be played tliis afternoon between the winners of the morning match and S. B. Edmonds and Mrs. W. Neal, whose handicap was owe 40.
