BICYCLE THIEF GAOLED

A sentence .of two months in gaol ' with hard labor was imposed by justices of -the peace on MaTk James Williams, alias Pettengill, aged 31 years; a laborer, who pleaded guilty to-day to the theft of a bicycle valued at £9 ltt. \ v A detective said that this type of ->offencc was becoming very serious, many bicycles being stolen.
