CHRISTMAS TRAFFIC AUCKLAND POST OFFICE (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. "It was the heaviest Christmas we have experienced," said a postal official to-day in referring to the record volume of work during Christinas week. On December 23, 48,104 telegrams were transmitted, compared with 21,680 on the corresponding day of last year. The Christmas Eve totals were respectively 100,019 and 78.329. Mail matter handled for the week ended on Christmas Eve occupied 10.534 inward bags and 9223 outward bags.
