DAMAGE IN RIVERiNA HAVOC IN BORDER TOWN LIGHTNING AND HAIL MAN KILLED IN STORM (Klec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Reed." Dec ."., k 2A'< p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. li. Struck by :i terrific gale, the town of Cnlcah'ii, /tear the southern border of New South Wales, was severely damaged. Fences and verandahs were blown down in all directions, houses were unroofed and tanks and oulhouses were blown over. Trees were uprooted and telephone poles crashed. The air was filled with flying timber and corrugated iron. The townspeople were terror-stricken. Vivid lighting and hail followed. Other parts of the Kiverina district suffered. A man was killed toy a falling tree. Damage, to crops was very heavy.
