A joint meeting of miners' officials and colliery owners' representatives has been held, at which an explanation wa* given of the principles of the system of central organisations for a complete and effective, control of the sale of coal, which the owners have agreed with the Government to establish. The owners will keep the miners' representatives fully informed of the progress of the schemes. The miners' wages claim was not discussed at the meeting.
