FRANCE AND GERMANY DIPLOMATIC! OVERTURES LONDON, Oct. 2-1. Reports of a move for n. FrancoOcrmaii rapprouehcmeiit appear in two leading Trench newspapers this morning. , . "Fertinax," in L'Ecno do inns, sav s that a Trench journalist, who is often authorised to speak semiofficially in the cause ol a FraneoGermau rapprochement, was recently received by Heir Hitler. L'OouvrC suggests that within a few weeks Herr von ■ltibbcntrop, Herr Hitler's special envoy, will visit Paris and meet Government, leaders. This visit, it is suggested, is the outcome of an interview between Herr Hitler and the French visitor, who is in the entourage ol: M. Laval. IVOenvre also cites the .friendly comments in some Berlin newspapers on M. Laval's Senate success. This is the second .symptom ot a Franco-German rapprochement Avifhin a week. Both Lc Matin and Lo Jour have republished pro-French articles appearing in the Gorman press."
