BOAT FATALITY

YOUNG' MAN DROWNED

Caught by a gust of wind in the channel between Quarantine Island and Otago Peninsula, a sailing-ooat which contained two men and two children capsized on Sunday afternoon. All (he occupants were thrown into the harbor. Mr William Johnson, 30, single, was drowned. The others regained tho boat and were later rescued. Mr Johnson, who was wearing gumboots, was unable, to swim. He disappeared uhmediately and his body has not been recovered.
