GARDEN PARTY (Herald Correspondent.) Much merriment prevailed at garden party hold on Tuesday at the residence of Mr and Mrs R. Steed, in honor of the forthcoming wedding ot Miss Audrey Woodley and Mr R. Steed, jun. Between 50 and GO guest* were received on the spacious lawnby die hostesses, Mrs R. Steed and Miss Bessie Steed. During the after noon, the guests were entertained with lawn tennis, croquet, miniature golf, ping pong, table bowls, and quoits, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. An amusing interlink occurred when a mock presentation was made to Miss Woodley and Mr. R. Steed, jun., this being made by Mi E. liickling, who also, on behalf oi the company, thanked the hostesses for the delightful afternoon and wish ed the bride and bridegroom-to-be every happiness. A dainty afternoon tea was dispensed in the conservatory. The singing of “For They Are Joll\ Good Fellows,” brought a happy function to a close.
