Carroll and Cooper look him back into the herd, aftei Jetting him go elsewhere, and lie will be eligible for entry in the Herd Testing federal ion’s register of “approved bulls” whose heifers have produced better than their dams, when this scheme is put into operation.
The present herd sire is Einvoy Golden Oxford, which is a threequarter brother to Einvoy Golden Noble. The dam of both these bulls,
.Miss Ivy, has a C.O.R. record of 7if7.<>-M 11)., ami Einv.ov Golden Noble,
which was exported to llawkesbury College, N.S.W., had remarkable success in its new home as the sire of Richmond Honor, which produced 8881 b. of fat as a 2-year-old, and 1)50 lb. as a 3-year-old, creating a world’s record. Another of Einvoy Golden Noble’s cows, Richmond Laurel sth, made an Australian junior 4-year-old record by producing 532.451 b. of fat in 273 days. As a 2-year-old, Richmond Laurel sth produced 3S3.SCIb., and as y 5-year-old 515*6.111)? in 275 days. The 532.4511). of butt erf at produced as a junior 4-vear-old is equal to 10001 b. of commercial butter. There are several 11.0. cows in the Glenpark herd with 0.T1.T. and C.O.R. iceords up to 51121 b. of fat. Glenpark Courtesy was an'outstanding 2-year-old, with a C.O.R. record of 5921 b., which was the best Poverty Bay junior 2-year-old record to date. Another junior two-year-old, Qucenio’s Annette, produced sS2lb. of fat, C.0.R., and all the remaining cows are qualified under group herd test; The first, crop of heifers from Finvoy Golden Oxford is doing very well, and producing up to 5011). of butteriat per month, one even going up to (151 b. in a month.
