GISBORNE CLUB Thai Gisborne Flying Club’s first nice of its second series was competed for bn Saturday, the event being from Taneatua, an airline of 70 miles. Although variable weather conditions were prevalent, satisfactory velocities .were registered 1 . The result in details of the first eight birds were as follows: —F. BWildish’s b.c.c. Mickey Mouse, 1393.1 yds. per min., 1; J. McLean’s ib.c.h. Lily, 1385.1yd5., 2; F. Green’s blk.p.h. Leading Light, 1383.2yd5., 3; F. Green’s blk.h. Queen o’ Spades and blk.p.h. Gay Crest, 1382.2yd5., equal, 4- A. O’Neill’s ib.c.h. Nola, 1377yd5., 6; A. Hytt’s b.c.c. Starlight, 1375.2 yds., 7> J. McLean's b.c.c. Bonny Boy, 1375yd5., 8. Next week’s race will be a pen race from Taturanga. Birds will be boxed on Thursday evening.
