VESSELS BEING BUILT
THREE - FOR N.Z. TRADE UNION S.S. COMPANY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Mr N. S. Falla, managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company, a passenger who arrived in the Monowai, said that three vessels are being built in England., the first launching being a steamer for the fruit trade. Delivery is expected by the end of June. A cargo vessel is to be launched in July, and a passenger steamer in February. Lady Bledisloe is to perform the christening ceremony. The vessel enters 'the intercolonial service in October.
Mr Falla and his wife Hew from New York to San Francisco in the schedule time of UH hours. He said that tlie two first lie Havilland planes for the Union Airways’ Palmerston (NortliDuncdin service arc now on the water, but the date of the inauguration of the service could n6t be fixed until the ground organisation is perfected.
