MUSKETRY TRAINING MARKSMEN QUALIFIERS Since the last notos on territorial training appeared in these columns, a half-day parade at the rifle range has been held, when all ranks present carried out the annual musketry course, a majority qualifying as rifle shots, and several as marksmen. The scoring) is to count in the allocation of the shell-case trophies, for which competition is very keen, one trophy being available for officers, non-coms, and privates respectively, while the best shot in each platoon also receives one. In the shell-case trophy competitions, a total of 15 rounds are fired in the space of one minute, the possible score bemg 75 points. In the officers’ section of this competition, Lieuts. J. W. Bain and R. I. Crafts scored 59 and ■57 respectively, these scores topping the list in this section, while the best scores registered by non-commissioned officers and men were as under: —Pte. A. G.
