GOLD MINING REPORTS MT. MORGAN OPERATIONS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mount Morgan reports that for the four weeks ended July 24,. Q ore was quarried, and 10,864 ton treated, assaying 4.83 dwt. of gold, .o_ per cent. Copper concentrates producer 456 tons, containug 16470/. of gold and 57 tons of copper. Operations in tli. open cut were interrupted by heavy rain, which restricted the winning and grading of ore, and, in- consequece, the mill was closed down. For one week, only 66 per cent, of the time was worked/ The ore milled was of low grade, largely outside reserves. Advantage was taken of the shut-down to complete and bring into operation a portion oi ttu now plant. This is working very satisfactorily, with increased production.
