NEW YORK, June 11. An engine-driver. Air. Louis Me* Lore, of Ahe New York Dock Company, felt cold and stopped his locomotiie outside a, waterfront cafe. While he was inside he suddenly srr.v I lie engine vanish into the fog. ll.e ,-hased it. and after a. mile, caught. it. lie flung aside two men he found in the cab. Tugged at the brake —in vain. The engine crashed into- one office " building, rebounded into ,another, and finally came to rest witlna lUfi. of the water’s edge. “We were going to kidnap the engine.’’ yelled the two men as they jumped Imm [lie cab and dashed into the fog.
