M.U. ODDFELLOWS
FORTNIG HTLY MEETING Manchester Unity Oddfellows, Loyal Gisborne Lodge, 6087. held its fortnightly meeting last night, Bvo W. MMichie, N.tL, presiding. Business was brief after correspondence had been, dealt with and the sick visitors’ report from Bro. H. J. Clayton. P.G., received. It was reported that several members had left the Cook Hospital, and were convalescing at home. Sister Rene King, Wairoa, who lias been in Gisborne for some time and who is leaving shortly for Napier, was farewelled, and a letter of recoinifiendation to the Napier lodge was granted. Bro. F. L. Barker. I.P.N’.G., reported having represented the lodge at the Ponte Bail at the invitation of the 1.0.0. P., arid that a very enjoyable evening was spent. After the closing of the' lodge, flag five-hundred was played, the winning table comprising Sister Ei. M. Castle, Bro. W. M. Michie, N. 0., Bro. A. (!. Hicks, P.G., and Bro. T. J. Dunstan. It was reported that the vice-grand would take charge of the programme after the next lodge meeting
