E.S.A. ANNUAL. LLAi.I. (Herald Correspondent.) The supper-room was delightfully lecorated with lycopodium, large lan oalms and bunting, while the tallies were arranged with red, white and blue •entre- pieces, bowls of acacia arid red rose buds, and tiny Union Jacks. The supper arrangements, of which t lie Women’s Institute had charge, were excellent, and the tables were laden with a delectable supply of home-made savories.

As is usual at this popular function, the hall was crowded, many people travelling long distances to be present. Mr. N. Harding, president of the association, thanked the Women’s Institute and all who had helped to make the ball uch an outstanding success, and announced that in future the ball would ic held on the second Friday of June in each year. The music was by -Mrs. tjtennett’s orchestra from Opotiki, and Mr. AI. Williams was a most, efficient M.’C. Supper extras were played by Mcsdames F. Bellerby and F. AI. Cleary/Miss I).
