COMMUNITY BALL (Herald Correspondent.) On Thursday evening the L.D.S. Hall at Nuliaku- was the scene of much gaiety and color when the Community Bail was belli. The large hnm'liei of dance patrons from Nuliaku and the surioundiii" district enjoyed a most delightful evening. Every detail had been considered by a very energetic, committee, and the capable organisation added to Iho pleasure of this successful function. The combined committee deserved much credit for the manner in which this function was conducted. Hie hall decorations were carried out in a very at t ract ive design in colored streamers, with bush foliage used in tasteful designs. The- colored lighting scheme was an added attraction.' Many beautiful frocks wen 1 worn. A spot waltz was won by Miss 1. McKenzie and Mr. Davies. A delicious supper was dis pensed by tlie ladies’ committee. The Klick Klack orchestra. Wairoa, played the dance music. Messrs. F. Hiekling and It. Steed, juu., capably carried out the duties of M.C.s.
Mrs. R. Bluek is visiting Napier, where she, will undergo an operation.— Mr. and Mrs. Haldane Mac Ewan. Palmerston North, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Small. Nuhaka.
