FINANCIAL STRAITS
BURKE IN LONDON LONDON, July 11.. The prospective return to Australia of Al.’ Burke, well-known middle-weight boxer, was given as the reason, why an osteopath opposed his application in the Westminster Court to-day for permission to pay £1 a month off an account of £223 ’6s for treatment during 1933-54. Burke said that a breach of promise and managers’ fees had depleted his earnings. The application was dismissed with costs.
