CRASH OF CAPE FLYER
BROOK ESCAPES INJURY FORCED LANDING IN DARK LONDON, July 19. Mr. H. L. Brook, who set out on Wednesday in an attempt to fly to Capetown in four days and crashed at Mersamatruli, was uninjured but his machine was completely wrecked, states a report from Alexandria. Lack of petrol compelled him to land at Mersamati nil. He failed to locute the aerodrome in the darkness and landed a quarter of a mile away.
