FAMOUS SOUTHERN CROSS TO BE MUSEUM EXHIBIT SYDNEY, July 17, The historic monoplane, Southern Cross, will make her last flight tomorrow over the city prior to being handed over to the National 'Museum tit Canberra. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will take his old flying pals with him, including Captain P. T. Taylor, Mr. S. AY. Stnnnage and Mr. F. .T. Litchfield, and the late Mr. C. T. P. Ulm’s 14-year-old son. The old bus will be flown to Ricdimoiul, where there will be a brief, app rv) ria t: o ceremony. The Minister of Defence will take delivery of the monoplane, which will be housed temporarily at the Air Force aerodrome. . . .. ,■ Smithy departs in the afternoon nn the Aorangi, accompanied by Flying Officer B. Sheil for New Zealand whore he will discuss with the Government the question of a trans-Tas-man service. lie will leave later for America.
