’QUAKE ROCKS FORMOSA
LIST OF 47 DEAD OVER 350 INJURED (Received July 18, 11.30 a.in.) LONDON, July 17. The Times’ Tokio correspondent states that an earthquake in the Sehinchiku Province, Formosa, after midnight killed 47 people and injured 1.15.
Many sleepers at Byorit.su wore killed ‘through falling houses, of which 153 were destroyed. Seismologists believe that the shock was an aftermath of tlie April earthquake. _____
