MERRITT MAY RETURN

CRICKET COACH POSITION Advice has been received in Wellington that W. E. Merritt, the Canterbury and Now Zealand cricket representative now playing in the Lancashire Leagueis prepared to return to New Zealand as a cricket coach. The Wellington Cricket. Association is giving consideration to the question of appointing a coach, and no doubt Merritt will be considered along with others ofFeiiug for the position. Tn the event of his bring appointed, Merritt would come to New Zealand in the English olf-season and return to continue his engagement in England, as is done by, other coaches from 'England. There is at least one Wellington applicant for the position.
