It was reported that de- : spite the inclement weather on Saturday last the practice run had been well attended. It had been noted with plea- j sure that a number of new runners had j turned out. The course taken was from , the freezing works, along Kaiti Beach to : Sponge Bay and back to the works along YVainui road. j It was decided to hold the first race ' of the season on Saturday, July 27, and 1 to continue the usual practice runs till I then. The run for next Saturday is to ! leave Mr. J. It. I‘hillips’ residence, 78 ' Russell street, at 2 p.m. The course ; will be over Barker’s Hill, along Valley road, round Hospital liill. and back along Ormond road. j
