AND NOW The Alf a Anti - Clo r~ i rip-Tooth HARROW %SOs " THE TRIP-TOOTH HARROW has been designed to overcome the >\/ problem of harrowing- where there is hidden tim- £_ ber, stumps and rocks. The rubbers, which [- connect with the hinged tooth, are specially treated to withstand weather conditions. This ' harrow has proved most successful over all classes of country, and we will be glad to demonstrate it on your own farm. Some Paramount Features of this Alf a Harrow! AUTOMATIC SELF CLEARING: From the patent construction of the ting, as the harrow noes forward any rubbish must go up the front of the tooth and over the back of the tine. Under average farming conditions it is not necessary to clean the harrow. LIGHT DRAUGHT: For the work done the draught is phenomenally light because the depth is definitely controlled. CONSTANT SUSTAINED PENETRATION: The angle at which the tooth penetrates makes it pull in the whole time. FLEXIBILITY: Each individual tine swings freely and independently on the bar, thus making it possible to harrow efficiently on uneven ground. MANURE SPREADING: The heel of each Tine sits flat on the ground and acts as a leveller and manure spreader as well as being the depth control Unit. VARIABLE PENETRATION: The teeth are drilled so that the depth of the cut can bo altered, and to allow for the taking up of wear on the point. ANOTHER GREAT POINT: The definite continuous cuts of the Alfa are INVALUABLE FOR THE WINTER. GRASS DOES NOT GROW WHEN THE GROUND IS WATERLOGGED, BECAUSE THE OXYGEN IN THE AIR CANNOT REACH THE ROOTS. THE CONTINUOUS CUTS of tho Alfa harrow not only open the soil, but ACTUALLY ACT AS MINIATURE DRAINS, thus freeing the ground of much surplus surface water and resulting in the most phenomenal winter and very early spring growth.
