EASTER COMPETITIONS TOURNAMENT PROGRESS Close finishes were recorded in connection with .a number of matches in the first ami second rounds of the Poverty Bay Golf Club's Easter competitions on Saturday, one of the second round games in the Raster Cup being decided a tier five extra holes had been played. The Easier Cup and Handicap tournament were both advanced to the semi-final stages on Saturday, and were to be concluded today. Results of Saturday afternoon's rounds in 'both divisions were as under:— , WILLOCK EASTER CUP —Second Round—.l. \V. Bnrns-'Cir.nh'am d. Brannvell, 2 and 1. McLaughlnn d. Stock, •"> and I. Barry, 0 and ">.

Players who did not qualify for either of the above competitions were catered for by bogey and medal matches on Saturday, the afternoon being occupied with a medal round, in which the best scores were returned as under:— B. Jenkins, 748 —-(JG. C. K. Lowe, 85—18—67. ,]. W. Barns-Graham, 82— in—o 7. J. M. Kay, 79—12—67. J. Wilkie, 92—24—68. SEMI-FINAL MATCHES Semi-filial matches in both the Willock Easter 'Cup competition and in the Handicap tournament were decided •ids morning, results being as under: -Willock Easter Cup—.l. W.
