KIRK CUP CRICKET

POSTPONED MATCH BAY TEAM SELECTED A fresh fixture for the annual match between the Waiapu and Poverty Bay senior representative cricket teams for the Kirk Cup has been made for Monday and Tuesday of next week. The match was originally set down for earlier dates in the season, but the game had to be postponed owing to the fact that many of the Coast players live in the back country districts,- and were unable to reach the main road on account of the state of tho clay surfaced roads. The following team has been selected to represent Poverty Bay:—G. ST. Loekctt, captain, M. K. Boon, D. A. Wells, A. Wilson, G. 11. Stewart, P. Newton, J. Carroll, N. Lloyd, K. Nicholson, and A. McMahon.

Play will commence at II a.m. on Monday.
