RELIEF WORK CONDITIONS
PROTEST AT ROTORtJA MEN CONTINUE STRIKE (Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, this day. AI a well-attended public meeting held in Rotoiua last evening, a motion was carried calling- upon the 'Government to investigate the vOnil if ion's under whicli relict' workers arc existing in the town, and expressing the opinion that the rates paid were insufficient to sustain theni. -while doing hard work. Relief workers present at the meeting unanimously voted to continue the strike which at present is in progress against the conditions imposed in connection with work on the aerodrome. The men have demonstrated by marching through the town, but are very orderly, and refrained from molesting some of the number in the outer district Who continued working. The Unemployment Board refuses to give the men work unless they return to tlie aerodrome job, and this (hey refuse to do on the present rate's.
