This voice, travelling over many thousand miles after an absence of 22 years, ghvo him, he .says, the biggest thrill of his life. According to the Evesham Journal, the interest in the Cotswold broadcast has not abated, for Mr Handy continues to receive letters from 'abroad by every post. Me htts had n communication from Mr George Black, making him a tempting offer to- appear on the stage of the London Palladium for four weeks. "I'm afraid J must decline the offer," said Mr Handy. "I should be out of my elenient in London and am a hit too old tip start V a music hall artist." !
