WORK FOR WAR VETERANS
EFFORTS IN BRITAIN PRINCE OF WALES' APPEAL (British Oflieiai Wireless.) Bee. 10 a.m. RUGBY, March 21. The Rince of Wales inaugurated at Mansion House the British Legion employment week, ihe object of which is to induce employers to take on more unemployed ex-servicemen. Addressing a prominent gathering, which included the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord Mayor of London, the Labor Minister, and Earl Jellicoe, the Prince said he appreciated all that the employers had done already to absorb ex-servicemen, but unfortunately there were still many thousands who' were out of work. He hoped thai these men would be given their share in the economic revival.
Last year, the British Legion filled •10,000 vacancies, and he hoped that with the assistance of municipal and local authorities and private employers of labor there would be a big increase in this number in the present Jubilee year.
