ACE MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB
OFFICIALS APPOINTED At a well-attended meeting of motorcycle enthusiasts held in the Borough Couucil chambers last evening, the election of office holders in the. recently formed Ace Motor-Cycle Club took place. The gathering was presided over by Mr. George Ingram, and those present keenly discussed the proposed activities of the club. Officials for the ■ensuing year were appointed as follow: President, Mr. R. }3. Watt; secretary, Mr. George Ingram; treasurer, Mr. O. W. Gray; committee, Messrs. J. Hall, 'l'. Venning, K. Graham, W. Newton and I!. Whittle; club captain, Mr. H. Y. Stevenson; vice-captain, Mr. R. Johnstone. Tt was unanimously decided that the club should be affiliated to the New Zealand Auto Cycle Union. The highly successful run to Tolaga Bay last Sunday Was reported on, and it was proposed that runs of a similar nature, as well as reliability trials should be held in a short time. The committee will meet in a few clays to arrange matters in connection with the first runs. The thanks bf the club were tendered to Mr. H. Stevenson for donating a trophy, valued at £1 3s, for the first competitive event
