McLeish was originally charged with causing bodily harm to Linda .May Collier while being drunk in charge of a car. A motor car driven erratically by the accused mounted th-e footpath. Mr. Collier was knocked aside. Mrs Collier was picked up by the bumper of the car which pushed a pram and a child for about 12yds. along the path. MeLeish's driving -(license was cancelled for three years and he was allowed three months in which to pay.
