Theresa Gumbo (H. Morris) ran four furlongs in 49, Contact, easily beat Belle Zircon in the best mile of the morning in 1.461, the first four taking 52. Eastern Chief and Flail ran 10 furlongs in 2.12, the first mile in 1.46. Closing Time (E. Barrie) ran live furlongs in 1.3, Young Idea three in 36J, and Homer and The Trump four in 50. Count Ito recorded the best live furlongs, taking 1.2 J. The following scratchings for the Fleinington races are announced: All engagements: Vintage; Australian Cup: Treyford.
