Mr. A. C. McMillan, who has boon a member of the staff of the Gisborne branch of the Bank of New Zealand for the past 10 years, and who leaves for Auckland on transfer to-morrow, has been the guest of honor at a series of farewell functions during the past tew days, and as a mark of his popularity, has received many handsome presentations. Yesterday afternoon the staff of the Gislwrne branch of the bank assembled to bid him fMewell, and m behalf of the. staff, tfiS manager, Mt. Adam Wilson, presented Mr. McMillan with a handsome suitcaSo parting gift. Mr. Wilson refefred in terms of the highest praise to Mr. McMillan's marked ability as security clerk of the Gisbome branch, and to his great popularity not only with all members of the staff, but also with the clients of the bank and the business section of the community. Other members of the staff also extended their best wishes to Mr. 'McMilfeft, who, in reply, regret at his impending departure from Gisbome, where he had spent so many happy, years.
