TOUR CURTAILED
THE DUKE OF GLOUCESTER DELAY TO AUSTRALIA TT.M.A.S. AUSTRALIA, Feb. 16. The tug Ontario having signalled after dinner last night that she. was on her correct bearing, H.M.A.S. Australia left the Seth Parker after the exchange o) farewell messages. We are now steaming for Balboa at under 13 knots, in view cf the necessity for husbanding all our fuel. Incidentally, H.M.A.S. Australia will have been at sea for 25 days continuously, which is probably a record for the navy since the war. In consequence of the .time lost it has been decided to omit calls at the Bahamas and Bermuda. The Duke will he in Jamaica from March 6 to 16, arriving at Portsmouth on March 28. Tt is hoped to make official calls at Balboa on the morning of March 4, which will be completed in time to permit the, Duke to fly the Gatun lock, rejoining the. cruiser the same day.
