Tile parade of massed bauds was a particularly impressive sight as it- converged on the grandstand, where the bands were accorded a. civic reception by the Mavor of Tiinaru.
Tile drum majors' display resulted: Tiinaru, 9 points, 1 ; City of Christchurch, 8.5 points, 2; Dunedin, 8.3 points, 3; Wanganui. 8.1 points, 4: .Mackenzie, 7.8 points, 5; Canterbury Caledonian, 7.5 points. 6. The judges remarked that all the. bands gave a good display. The winners made full use of the time allotted and showed evidence of good training.
