MR. J. H. WHITLEY (Received Feb. 4, noon.) LONDON, Feb. ?,. The dcatli is reported of Mr. John Henry Whitley, chairman of the British Broadcasting Corporation and a former Liberal statesman; aged G 9 years. The late Mr. Whitley was educated at Clifton College and London University. He entered the House of Commons in 1900 and represented Halifax; continuously for 2.S years, holding various offices under Liberal Governments. He was deputy-Speaker of the House from .1911 to 1921, and Speaker until 1928. He was twice married and had two sons and two daughters. PROF. H. JUNKERS (■Received Feb. 4,2 p.m.) "MUNICH, Feb. 3.
