. "Radio in New Zealand is, on the average, fully 12 months ahead.of developments ill England. Sets which are going off the market here are still being manufactured in England," said Mr. L. Dryden, 1 a. Palmerston North radio expert, who has returned after spending eight months in England. Mr. Dryden said that the : average listener-in in England had only two. programmes to listen to at night, the national and the regional nrogrammes. In his opinion the English broadcasts were not up to flic standard of those in New Zealand.
