CHINESE FINED 5175
(Per Press 'Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A house was raided in Hainiug street last night, resulting in five Chinese being fined a total of £175 to-day. The keeper of tho den w:as fined £IOO of this amount.. It was stated by the .police that one of those arrested said that if the police had been half an hour sootier or halt ail hour ’later they would have had to arrest 30, but a lot bad goiio out to supper.
