WASHINGTON, Jan. 5. With New Zealand butter quoted m London on December 27 at 16.6 cents per lb., 15.6 lower than the New YorK price, the Department of Agriculture said there was a danger of importations into the United States at over 14 cents duty. Only mcerlainty as to the stability ' of the prevailing margins, it was stated, appears, to prevent the purchase of foreign ! niters.
