BRITAIN’S PROSPECTS
PREMIER CHEERFUL
NEW YEAR BROADCAST
LONDON, Jan. 5.
Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, in a New Year broadcast, cheerfully surveyed Britain’s prospects. Referring to the King’s Jubilee, 1.0 said the nation’s celebrations would show the King that he was no remote dweller m palaces, but was enshrined iu the people’s hearts. The visit of the Dominion Premiers would enable representatives of the new nations to be taken into the Homeland’s companionship of rejoicing.
He added: “A formal Imperial Conference is impossible, but the visits will be most valuable in promoting understanding and in exchanging views on Empire affairs.’’
