PR IENDLY SOC L ETIES ’ PROTEST Because they contend that the prices charged for funerals in Brisbane are far too high a deputation from friendly societies recently asked that action he taken by the Price Commissioner’s d'liee to control these prices, The deputation waited on the deputy commissioner, who informed the members tlint a thorough investigatio: would he made into the charges in piesl ion.
It was stated by one spokesman that the deputation represented 25,001 members of friendly societies in thi net ropnlitaii area.
