WAIROA RAINFALL
THE YEAR’S RECORD
(Herald Correspondent.) The last month of 1934 resulted in the smallest December record for Wairoa lor liver 30 vears. except December, 1932, namely .68in. on four days. The"record for the year, compared with the two previous years, is given below:-- -
46.03 74.22 16.31 The year lias been remarkable for the erratic nature of the rainfall, and the decided drop in the figures. The summer practically started in October, tints almost cutting nut the usual spring weather. The average for the Wairoa district taken over a 25 years’ period is 51.46 in,, so that the district still ceived the average fall, but the last three months only saw 4.88 in. registered.
