ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
(Per Prese Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. The annual conference of the New Zealand Athletic, Cycling and Axemen’s Union opened to-day, when the Mayor, Mr. Miller, welcomed delegates from all parts of the Dominion. The. conference was adjourned till this afternoon as a mark of respect to tho late secretary, Mr. John Kennedy, to whom high tributes were paid.
