DOMINION OFFICERS
VISIT TO GISBORNE
Several prominent officers of the Salvation Army in New Zealand are to visit Gisborne on January 21, which date will mark 'the initial visit of the new territorial commanders for the Dominion, Commissioner and Mrs. Adams. The territorial commanders will bo accompanied *by Colonel and Mrs. Orsborn, the former chief secretary and second-in-command of the Army in New Zealand, Lieutenant-Colonel Scotney, property secretary, and Brigadier Cottrill, divisional commander.
The officers, will arrive in Gisborne from Napier on January 21, and a welcome meeting will be held in the Citadel that evening. The following day they will depart for the Salvation Army Boys' Home at Putaruru. Adjutant Goffin, officer in charge at Napier, arrived in Gisborne this morning, and at 2 o'clock this afternoon conducted a brief but impressive service at the Citadel prior to the funeral of Master lan Ransom, the 13-year-old son of Major and Mrs.'O. E. Ransom, whose death occurred in- such tragic circumtsanccs this week. Adjutant Goffin will conduct to-morrow's services at the Citadel, where a memorial service to Master Ransom will bo held at 7 p.m. He will leave for Napier on Monday.
