No private I sales have been made; the whole of the season's crop of Rams having been retained for the sale. There will bo included 20 prize-winning RAM HOGGETS of the present season, and also both the 1934 Royal Champion and Reserve Champion Rams. Most of the rams are sired by the Luton Moo importations, whose progeny have swept the boards at the leading North Island Shows. The Stud at tho four leading shows this season has won 17 out of a possiblo 18 Cham- I pionships and Reserves, and at the last nine shows exhibited at have won consecutively nine Points Prizes. GLENBURN RYELAND STUD AT MANAWATU SHOWGROUNDS, PALMERSTON NORTH THURSDAY, JANUARY 17. 1935 At 1 p.m. A COMPLETE DISPERSAL SALE of Mr. W. G. Shannon's Glenburn Ryeland Stud Flock No. 79. registered with the Ryeland Sheepbreeders' Society of N.Z. (Inc.), will be held as above, when the complete Glenburn stud, comprising some 200 registered Ryeland ewes and rams, will be submitted to auction. Flock No. 79 was established by the purchase of ewes and lambs bred by Mr. F. J. Ellis (Flock. No. 7), the whole of the ewes and lambs comprising Mr. J. H. Orr's flock (No. IS), and a considerable proportion of Mr. K. D. Orr's flock (No. 21). The present crop of lambs were sired by Surrey 063 (Registered No. 437), and bred by Mr. F. J. Ellis. A. number of ewes and rams in Flock 79 have been exported to Australia and have given the greatest satisfaction. The type of the Ryelands comprising this flock is of the highest standard, and the present sale, which is the most extensive one of Ryeland sheep yet held in New Zealand, offers an unusual opportunity to breeders interested in this increasingly popular breed to secure their requirements'. The offering will comprise:— 74 Stud Ewes, the complete Breeding Flock. 40 One-shear Stud Ewes. 51 Ewe Lambs. 20 Ram Lambs. 39 one-shear Stud and Flock Rams.
