ALL lingerie for the winter at. Homo is now cut on the cross to get the close lilting effect that is so fashionable. Pressing-gowns are tied with vivid red or green _ sashes. Rough crepe with a satin back is a favorite, fabric.
The newest design for "nighties" consists of shoulder straps crossingoxer at the back, a form of the lowback decollete borrowed' from the new evening Many nighties have sashes, a model of the still popular crepe suzetto, for insinnce, being in blue with a pink sash. Flowered chiffon is a revival in nightgown fashions. The shoulder straps are usually gauged to make them as narrow as possible. The old village fashion of the nightgown tied on each shoulder with a satin bow has been brought back as a Mnvfair mode.
The nightgown that can also be worn «s a petticoat is new. One model is of'gold satin, with a deep lace yoke, suitable for wear under evening dresses, and' has shoulder straps of gauged georgette. Real lace is being used again to make the yokes of nightgowns and petticoats. Women who have had little use for their old lace in recent years are delighted at this revival.
