THE WEATHER To-day's North Island Report, . Throughout the North 'island blue skies with del.'.ched clouds were reported this morning, with light breezes having a westerly tendency, the breeze at Gisborne being from 'the north-west. The barometer had a rising tendency. Seas were smooth te moderate at most stations. Temperature readings at 9 a.m. were: Opotiki 73 degrees, Auckland 72, Tanranga, and East. Cape 71, Gisborne and Napier 69, and Wellington. 67. Last Night's Forecast The recent depression has disappeared eastwards, .and a slight anticyclone is now advancing on to the Dominion with its centre to the north. Winds moderate southerly, veering later to northerlies about and south of Cook Strait. Seas smooth to moderate. In ■ the eastern Tasman Sea moderate south-west to west winds and' moderate, seas.
